Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon McLaren.
Hi Shannon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It was my senses, intuition, and seer abilities that guided me to where I am today. From a very young age, I knew two important things: first, that anything I focused on or asked to experience would find its way to me; and second, that whenever I tried to follow “the rules,” I lost touch with myself. Life’s challenges became my greatest teachers—painful but necessary lessons that helped me awaken to my own truth.
The first realization that cracked open my world was discovering that more than one reality exists. Later, when I became an Agent in Hollywood, comedians taught me that life doesn’t have to be so serious—it could be light, even joyful. When I became a mother, my children reflected the ways I struggled with communication and presence. I didn’t yet understand what it meant to be with them; instead, I was fitting them into my “busy” life.
In the 1990s, I began practicing breath and movement in Yoga, which awakened my awareness of embodiment within the present moment. Consciousness training through Meditation taught me the art of observation, and Kirtan revealed the rhythm of my mind. These practices initiated a deep path of self-awareness.
On a yoga retreat in the early 2000s, unable to move after snowboarding the week before, a woman and her friends asked to use my bathroom. [Back story: I knew no one at this retreat, so I asked the facilitator for help with my encroaching pain. She told me there was a healer at the retreat who might be able to help me.] They entered my dark room, and I heard in my brain: “She is here.” So, I asked, “Are any of you healers, because I can’t move and I don’t even know how I will drive home. Will you help me?” There was a long pause before I heard: Yes. The others left the room. When she placed her hands on me, I saw a silver lightning bolt shoot from my hips toward her hands. The rest was like a Harry Potter movie where all my parts began moving and realigning. I woke the next day with a full range of motion restored. That experience introduced me to Craniosacral and Polarity Therapy, which ultimately became both my personal and professional path.
Through years of training, facilitation, and self-healing, I peeled back the layers of my own system—uncovering deeper levels of connection, trust, safety, creativity, and authenticity. Over time, I rediscovered my true nature, self-respect, and a sense of belonging. During a Shavasana meditation, the name The Mystic Agent came to me, along with the seed of what would become my Self-Realization Process—a framework for inner transformation and integrative healing.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, the road was far from smooth—but every challenge uncovered the next step in my awakening. My struggles stemmed from trying to adapt to a world not designed for sensory perception, creative flow, and energetic connection. Healing involved untangling those adaptations within my human energy system and reclaiming my original alignment.
Over 10 years ago, I created the expression: “The person with the problem is the Person with the Problem.” Every obstacle provides the guidance we seek—whether physical, emotional, or relational—this self-awareness approach is part of my teaching and the foundation of the work I now share with others.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Mystic Agent?
I am an integrative health practitioner and educator dedicated to bridging the science of healing with the wisdom of embodiment. Through my practice and teachings, I help individuals restore balance, resilience, and connection to the innate intelligence of the body, brain, and biofield.
Everything I offer integrates neuroscience, somatic awareness, and subtle energy systems to support whole-system health, functional awareness, and authentic self-expression.
I am a Certified Craniosacral Therapist, Board Certified Polarity Practitioner and Educator, Family and Systems Constellation Facilitator, 30-year Yoga practitioner turned teacher, and Shamanic Sound Bath and Ceremony Facilitator. My clients range from those seeking health solutions beyond conventional and aspected Western medicine to those who come feeling lost and looking to rediscover their inspiration, voice, and sense of purpose.
The story of our lives comes through the body. I want people to know that, at any point in life or state of health, you have the ability to heal and change your circumstances. It all begins with understanding how you function—your behavior, awareness, and energy.
Each one-on-one session offers a fusion of somatic communication, bodywork, energetic nutrition, movement, and lifestyle guidance. A customized approach helps clients not only address physical symptoms but also reconnect to their own wisdom. Recently, she created a retreat to honor the nurses at a local hospital—introducing them to breathwork and sound healing for the first time. I made a take-home guide to help them understand how the body and brain communicate discomfort, and how to reset in fifteen minutes. The response was incredible!
What sets me apart is my willingness to meet each client exactly where they are, without imposing a fixed method. I listen and attune to the intelligence that’s already within them.
Humbly, my work extends far beyond the treatment room. In 2014, inspired by my practice and witnessing others’ healing experiences, I began developing experiential content for the entertainment industry. Shortly after, I watched as media began introducing characters and stories that reflected the ideas and content I had shared—people willingly exploring self-identity and consciousness through various multicultural healing modalities such as breathwork, sound, and embodiment practices.
During the fall of 2019, I created The SOUL Game, a Constellation-based entertainment experience designed for Zoom. We produced 23 episodes that supported people around the world who were isolated and needed support. The show was groundbreaking: it was the first Constellation process for entertainment to demonstrate how participants could uncover their blind spots and self-realize what they needed to heal—all through an energetic connection that transcended distance. We proved that we are all connected wirelessly, even over Zoom,
A powerful example is Episode 8 featuring comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, entitled “How Does Power Find Its Way?” Tiffany’s healing request was to release her anger about injustice. Through the SOUL Game process, she discovered where true power begins—within herself—and had a profound emotional breakthrough.

The SOUL Game reminds us that everyone can be an agent of action for their soul—a Mystic Agent.
My journey has taught me one vital thing that I want all Humans to understand about themselves:
Humans have no idea what they are capable of.
This is why my forthcoming book expands on my research and experience in integrative healing, exploring how consciousness and the body’s innate intelligence co-create healing and creation. The book is set for release next year and represents the culmination of modern science, subtle energy, and ancient wisdom, woven with my wild personal, sometimes shocking, and mythical encounters.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
At around 6 or 8 years old, I saw wolves in my room, I heard voices in my head that were not mine, and I knew things before they happened. I also had an acute awareness of others’ thoughts and feelings. I grew up in Southern California, and I didn’t do well in school. I remember being fearful to raise my hand in school to ask a question, for fear of embarrassment. I had friend groups, but didn’t really feel like I belonged. Looking back, I see how creative I was, but I didn’t find supportive ways to channel it. I also remember how colorful and beautiful everything was when I was young.
