Today we’d like to introduce you to Sayyed Shabazz.

Sayyed, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My wife and I had the ideal of doing a documentary about our challenges as newlywed artists struggling in Los Angeles. After we hit a snag due to a small budget, we decided to host a podcast and grow our audience while continuing discussing our challenges.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Neither one of us had any experience in podcasting, a very small budget, no real recording space, noisy neighbors, and equipment malfunction.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Real Lets Get Naked podcast story. Tell us more about the business.
On the Let’s Get Naked podcast, we talk about all things surrounding love and money. The point of what we do is to have uncomfortable conversations, for not only couples, but people should be having to better understand one another. I am most proud of the positive influence we’ve had on our listeners, the courage some listeners showed by joining in these dialogues with us, and that they having discussions amongst their peers.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Tremendous role! Most of the people involved in the podcast have been long time friends, people I met at work, or supporter’s recommendations.
