Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Chahayed.
Sandra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In 2005, I was looking for work after high school. I was walking around a shopping center and happen to walk into a flower shop. I didn’t think I would ever be working in such a place as my dream was to be a doctor. I asked the manager if she was hiring. She offered me the job on the stop. Ever since then I have had a passion for flowers. Seeing the joy it gives people when something my hands have created makes my day even better. I have been a florist for 12 years and over the years it has been my dream to open my own place. This year that dream became a reality with help from my family who have supported me along the way. Being This 4″11 small girl from the valley I have out my heart into what I do,
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been the easiest road to get to where I am. Many sleepless nights wondering if I will ever make it, the stress of everyday business life hasn’t made this journey so easy as well.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Floral Expression By Sandra – what should we know?
This flower shop have been established in the 70’s. Known to many as the first florist of the valley. We specialize in one of a kind floral arrangements for all occasions and events. The thing I am most proud of is how much I have grown and the business since taking over. What sets this shop apart from others is how the shop is run. We try to make sure each customer is taken care of and treated like family. Our specialty is in unique one of a kind arrangements that will have people saying wow.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My parents and siblings (including Brother and sister in law) have been my number one support from day one as well as my nieces and nephews. Each of them has stood by me and showed me that I can achieve anything I set my heart to. I get emotional when I speak about how much I am grateful to have them. Without them, I don’t think I would be where I am today.
