Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Arias.
Sam, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
By my first year in college, I had a general idea of what I wanted. I knew I wanted to do business and I knew I wanted to run my own firm. Throughout the rest of that year, my interest in business evolved into a passion for marketing and small business. At some point that summer, I wanted to start a marketing firm for small businesses, but I had no idea where to start.
One day I was studying in this brand new boba shop in Chatsworth. I noticed I was the only person to enter the shop within about an hour. As I was gathering my things to leave, the owner of the shop approached me and asked me what I thought about my drink and the shop as a whole. I immediately turned on my marketing brain and made a few suggestions. Before I knew it, I had my first client and Resonance Marketing Solutions was born. After that, everything fell in place pretty quickly.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest issue I run into is a general preconception of me and my business new potential clients tend to have. In all honesty, I am a 19 years old college student working hard to apply myself in the real world. Many people see me and see just a 19 years old college kid. It can be very hard for anyone to look past that and put their financial trust and backing behind a college student. Once I am able to break down the stigma behind my age, I am able to find a mutual trust and respect with my clients.
Resonance Marketing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Resonance Marketing Solutions is on a mission to be The Marketing Department for the small businesses that make the city of Los Angeles so unique. We act as your consultant and advisor for any marketing aspect of your business. We sit down with you and develop a marketing plan customized to fit your particular desires and budget. We then see through the completion of this plan in full. We cover all your marketing bases including but not limited to special projects, social media, physical advertisements, special event hosting/planning, search engine optimization, and in store promotions.
We are incredibly hands on and reachable. I have a passion for small business. Whatever gets you passionate and excited about your business will resonate with me as if it was my own shop. This is what I love to do. If you do not see the expected growth we were shooting for, we do not charge you. Thats a promise.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I like to take action into my own hands in every aspect possible. Recently, one of my prouder moments has been learning how to do latte art in order to teach those skills in coffee shops I work with. It’s super cute and makes a big impact in the customer experience.
