Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Meza.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sabrina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Ever since I was a little girl, I would watch my mom put her makeup on and I loved it! My mom was already gorgeous but when she put her makeup on, her face would just lit up with confidence! That’s when I realized I loved makeup and wanted to bring that confidence to others!

Currently, I have done everything from bridal, glamour shots, photo shoots and birthday makeup application! I have Instagram, Facebook, a website, and a yelp in which I love to communicate with all my lovely clients! One of the best parts of being a makeup artist is not only enhancing the natural beauty everyone already has and giving them confidence but also the fact that I have the privilege of building a friendship with all my clients and followers! Because of the love I have for beauty, I decided to make makeup my career because I was taught to always follow my dream!

Has it been a smooth road?
Like everything there are always bumps in the road! For me I’ve dealt with a lot of anxiety. Some people ask me what I felt when I had anxiety and for me I had a lot of panic attacks and it completely put a hold on my life! I ended up quitting my first job, left MT.SAC, stopped driving. I didn’t go out with my friends and my relationship with my boyfriend almost ended because I had no desire to fix myself. When I decided one day to try to gain back my life I got a job and enrolled in cosmetology school! I was actually at the top of my class and loved what I was doing but to my surprise my anxiety took over again and I had failed again! thankfully I tried again after some time and decided to enroll in ruby makeup academy and I graduated and I now work at Ulta
and was able to use makeup artistry as my outlet!

I am a makeup artist and I specialize in all occasions for makeup application! I’m proud of myself as a company that I was able to overcome my struggles and still make my dream happen.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our city because of how populated we are and how much we have to see and do. However, being over populated can be both good and bad because that means more competition!
