Meet Roozbeh Farahanipour of Delphi Greek Restaurant and Bar in Westwood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roozbeh Farahanipour.

Roozbeh, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Delphi Greek is established in 1985 and I took over it in 2009. In last ten years, I converted to very authentic Greek restaurant with largest selection of Greek Beer, wine and spirits in nation. Even we serve Greek water as choices.

Our restaurant awarded many certificates from local state and federal officials and also my self nominated as immigrant of month by City of Los Angeles.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
From legal standpoint to hard regulations and most importantly struggle to get full liquor license to be aloud serve Ouzo as authentic Greek drink.

Please tell us about Delphi Greek Restaurant and Bar.
Delphi is local family owned and operated restaurant and known as one of landmark in Westwood.

What do you do: we feed hungry guests and serve our community.

What do you specialize: beside of authentic Greek food my wife is award winner pastry chef who is well known for Greek dessert.

What are you known for: largest selection of Greek wines and also we are West LA Chapter for AWS.

What are you most proud of as a company?
I’m not Greek but we have operated most famous and authentic Greek restaurant in LA.

What sets you apart from others?
You have only 1 Delphi and 1 Roozbeh and 1 Pastry chef Rana who serve community with Love and perffetionalisem. Only mom and pop restaurant to handle very large account daily bases 🙂

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
1. Find location built as restaurant not whole in wall 😉
2. Make sure legally all documents are correct.
3. Make sure licenses are fine and City allowed additional permits.
