Today we’d like to introduce you to Renay Marie.
Hi Renay , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I initially started in the career I’m in now by having customer service experience, then flight attendant with United Airlines, and now continuing to working in the transportation spectrum.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, I will say everything I did work-related always led to a path. The challenges I faced were balancing my work life with my personal life. I feel that at times I made sacrifices to put work first. Now, I will say I’m doing better with balancing my social and work life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have worked in customer service,
behavioral ,urban development (community), media, aviation, and transportation, so I consider myself to be very multifaceted. I’m most proud of my ability to adapt to every work environment, creating a safe space for my colleagues, knowing they can always depend on me. What sets me apart is that once I’m in, it’s a wrap; I’m all in, and no one can outwork me, and I say this in the most humble way. I’m the employee who goes above and beyond. I feel that’s why, when I come across other hard workers, I have a certain respect level for them because I get to see it from a different perspective, outside looking in. You know it, when you see it. It takes discipline, perseverance, and dedication.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that most people who know me or work with me might not know is that when I’m at home, I’m actually lazy… I don’t feel like doing anything too tiresome. When I get off work, most of the time I’d rather relax and chill, some will say well that’s most people lol but that is something that I feel people will find supriseing about me lol
