Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachelle Moliere-Ogunlana.
Hi Rachelle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a Certified Nurse Midwife and founder of Clinique Molière, my journey began in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. Born and raised in this diverse community, I developed an early appreciation for the unique healthcare needs of women from various cultural backgrounds.
My academic path led me to the University of Miami, where I completed my graduate degree in Nursing. The rigorous program not only provided me with a strong clinical foundation but also ignited my passion for women’s health. During my clinical rotations, I was drawn to the transformative experience of childbirth and the profound impact that compassionate, personalized care could have on birthing families.
Driven by this calling, I pursued my graduate degree in Nurse-Midwifery, at Frontier Nursing University. This advanced education deepened my understanding of evidence-based practices while emphasizing the importance of honoring the natural birth process. Throughout my graduate studies, I envisioned creating a space where the art of midwifery could flourish alongside modern medical knowledge.
Today, as the founder of Clinique Molière, I’ve brought that vision to life. Our vision of our holistic birth center combines the warmth and comfort of home with the safety and expertise of trained healthcare professionals. Drawing from my Miami roots, we serve a diverse clientele, offering culturally sensitive care that respects each family’s unique traditions and preferences.
My journey from a nursing student to a Certified Nurse Midwife and birth center owner has been guided by a simple yet powerful belief: every woman deserves to feel empowered, supported, and respected during her pregnancy and birth experience. As we continue to grow, I remain committed to providing exceptional, woman-centered care that honors both the science and the sacredness of birth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It took over 3 years of searching to align with this practice location. Multiple Nos for SBA loan for funding. New first time mom entrepreneur trying to launch a business had it’s own beautiful challenges to overcome. Over 25 other businesses were turned away by the City of Brea and Clinique Molière was birthed.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about CLINIQUE MOLIERE?
As a nurse midwife entrepreneur of a holistic birth center, our business model is centered around providing comprehensive, personalized care that supports the physiological process of pregnancy and birth while promoting maternal and infant health through a holistic, evidence-based approach.
My mission is to establish a state-of-the-art birthing center that provides a safe, nurturing, and culturally competent environment for all women to experience the transformative journey of childbirth. This center will be designed with a holistic approach, combining evidence-based medical care with traditional midwifery practices, creating a harmonious blend of modern science and ancient wisdom.
Our facility will prioritize patient-centered care, empowering women to make informed decisions about their birthing experiences. We will offer comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care, educational resources, and a range of birthing options, including water births, and home births, herbal therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, reiki healing, yoga studio, and more.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Be proactive and intentional I started by identifying experienced midwives whose practice styles and philosophies aligned with my vision. Don’t wait for someone to find you – reach out first. I attended conferences, workshops, and local midwifery meetings to connect with potential mentors.
Offer value in return
Mentorship is a two-way street. I always approached potential mentors with the mindset of “How can I also add value to their practice or life?” Sometimes this meant helping with their social media, offering to assist at births, or simply bringing fresh perspectives.
Utilize online resources
I joined midwifery forums, Facebook groups, and professional organizations. These platforms helped me connect with midwives outside my geographical area who became valuable mentors.
