Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Udeh-jackson
Hi Rachel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out as a child performer with my mother as my artist development manager by no older than 2 years old. After firing my mother at the age of 16 for a lack of motivation in her work; I began managing myself (artist development, business, and branding) at 21 years old. Now I own both a personal chef company (Hope’s Kitchen Eateries Inc.) and media production company (The Singin Chef LLC) that does business in both NYC and Hollywood.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road for me as a chef nor as a singer. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had bad years in business. I’ve experienced fear in the decision making process as I’ve grown.
However the talent I have has never forsaken me; and my gift for singing and playing piano by ear has effectively made room for me to be welcomed by great people in Hollywood.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Singin Chef LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At The Singin Chef LLC our vision is to create a lasting impact through music, storytelling, and artistry that deeply resonates with audiences. Through innovation, authenticity, and creative excellence, we strive to inspire and connect with people worldwide. As our brand matures, we aim to nurture the next generation of artists, providing elite artist development for young talent with the potential to shape the future of music.
What matters most to you? Why?
Peace. However, true peace comes at a cost. This can mean working late nights. Or it can mean investing a large amount of money into a lifestyle change (or a change in business).
So I choose to count the cost of the peace of mind that I desire. If I don’t count the cost, than I can’t cross over the “bridge” to get to my “peace centered destiny”.
Besides, the ultimate peace of mind is living your dreams. That’s the “priceless” side effect that can’t be bought. This is why I expanded my business to do work beyond NYC. Los Angeles has a higher level of peace to offer me while I keep my home-base here in NYC.
