Meet Neverending Nina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Neverending Nina. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Originally from Port Arthur, TX by way of New Orleans, LA now living in Los Angeles, CA. Neverending Nina is always working to center the lives of Black Trans Women and their empowerment and voice through resources. Nina is a proud Black Trans Woman of the millennial generation, she is a fierce and leading sought-out voice for the trans community and beyond, bringing strong insight and passion to her work. Using her bachelor’s degree, she has been serving the Black LGBTQIA+ community for over 16 years ranging from HIV prevention, counseling, linkage, education, and advocacy. Now living and working in the entertainment capital “Hollywood”, she is making waves to enhance her artistry by being a multifaceted singer/songwriting entertainer and community cultivator.

To this day, Nina is still growing as an artist making sure she is an asset to any creative arena she chooses to occupy. God-given talent, charm, and determination are core-values she possesses. Nina combines advocacy in her art by showcasing her talent, mixing various musical genres in expressing universal lessons on love, relationships and self-acceptance to create change. With creditable relationships with powerhouse entities such as The Recording Academy, NAACP, FOX SOUL, LA/San Fran/ NYC Pride to name a few, she is on her chosen path of designed destiny. She recently released her remarkable Debut EP project entitled PRESENT available everywhere to download and support! Neverending Nina the community cultivator!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road, I think the problem sometimes is that because I work so hard, it makes it seem easy just to maintain the course living your Dream process. Believe me it is not, everyday it is a constant check-in to see where I am mentally, spiritually, physically to keep up with the Dream. Some struggles are knowing some opportunities are not granted to you because of my Trans Identity in the fields I navigate and that is a hard pill to swallow. The discrimination simply based on my existence even if I am over qualified to occupy that space.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an Artist anything in the creative I am! I have been given the GOD gift of singing and that is what I lead with, even more so the universal power to use my voice. I speak for the voiceless, I sing for the people who can’t and so it is my duty to show up for me and the community to hopefully make this world a better place piece by piece! I am proud of my recent Debut EP project entitled PRESENT available everywhere to download and support! This project showcases my heart and art in such a cool eclectic way that lets the listener know I lead with my art in a way that makes everyone go within to grow within. I am proud of the many relationships I have created in the community for the work to grow and be shown. What sets me apart from others is my mind and soul, I feel deeply because I am in tune with my essence and live by it respectfully.

What makes you happy?
Me living in my authenticity makes me happy. Showing up for myself first keeps me present in this world so I can keep living, learning, and loving.
