Meet Mika Leah of Goomi Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mika Leah.

Hi Mika, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After a lifetime of being a healthy athlete and eating right, I was wheeled into major heart surgery 3 weeks after my 33rd birthday. Likely caused by years of stress after two decades as an Ad Exec and an ugly divorce with two kids under the age of 2. Doctors said I was lucky to be alive, and 5 heart stents later I became determined to make health and wellness affordable and accessible for everyone. Starting with employees in the workplace because that is what I knew best. We began by offering on-site yoga and meditation classes and have grown into an enterprise company delivering on-site, virtual, and on-demand programs to companies in all 50 states, across 6 pillars of health. We are now transitioning into an HR Tech Platform that streamlines Workplace Wellness programs and analytics in a single dashboard.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
You can’t have growth without challenges and struggles along the way. To quote the Beatles, it’s been a long and winding road and one day I’ll write a book about it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
