Meet Michelle Lewis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Lewis.

Hi Michelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Michelle Lewis (she/her/they) and I am the creator & founder of The Blessings Butterfly. I am a Witch, Tarot Reader, Oracle Deck Creator and a bestselling Author.

Before stepping fully into my life as a full-time professional witch, I took a long and winding path to get here. I’ve worked in many different industries and have such a weird résumé!

Aside from my entrepreneurial ventures, at various points in my life I’ve worked fast food, retail and corporate, executive management, higher education, bars/nightclubs, Hollywood, adult entertainment, nonprofits and religious organizations, and alternative medicine. All of it taught me so much about connecting with people from all walks of life and serving them with my gifts.

When I finally was ready to go all-in on working for myself, I launched The Blessings Butterfly and have never looked back.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
LOL 😂 Oh wait, you’re not joking? Most definitely NOT a smooth road.

As anyone who has ever started their own business will tell you, there is nothing more difficult or challenging than being your own boss. You have to learn EVERYTHING about the ins and outs of building a successful, sustainable business. You work long hours and feel like you’re drowning in overwhelm. You test and change and adjust and pivot. You face your inner demons, and go on the most epic healing journey of your life. You learn to believe in yourself and trust in your magick. You feel lonely and exhausted and more than a little bit crazy. But you can’t imagine doing anything else, and your passion to bring your vision to life is what fuels you.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Well, as a Professional Modern Witch there are some fascinating things I get to do!

I specialize in Divination and Energy Healing. I love using the tarot, oracle cards, pendulum, and crystals when working with my clients. I often am able to provide guidance and healing through meditative journeying as well.

As far as some of the products I make in my witchcraft, I create magick-infused intention candles, ritual oils, spell kits, herbal blends, and smoke cleansing bundles.

One of the things I am most proud of creating is the Cosmic Transformation Oracle deck. It’s a gorgeous collaboration between my artistic partner Lindsay Kokoska and the messages I channeled from Spirit.

How do you define success?
Such an interesting question. For me, success comes from being content with the life I am living. Not perfect, not without challenges here and there, but content. Happy. Fulfilled.

I am no longer chasing someone else’s goals, someone else’s happiness. I’ve found my own.
