Meet Mass Appeal The DJ

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mass Appeal The DJ.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Mass Appeal The DJ. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I moved to Los Angeles a little over two years ago. I’ve been djing for 8+ plus years I started on the radio at my High School in Indianapolis, IN where I was born and raised. I attended Ball State University where I hosted three radio shows along with djing every premier party at the school. After college, I did a quick stint in Atlanta Georgia before moving to Los Angeles. LA has been nothing short of amazing. The first step to my success out here was networking. I just started getting out and meeting as many people as possible. I started throwing my own parties in the city and then started djing all over LA County. I’ve done big Hollywood clubs such as Penthouse, Le Jardin & Project LA. Along with many bars, corporate events, etc. I have a DJ that I lead Called Spinning Sauce DJ’s. I will be rebranding the whole thing very soon. I’m looking for new DJ’s to join the conglomerate. I also teach private DJ lessons which is very fulfilling because I Love the art of teaching. Overall djing in LA has been a huge success for me.

Has it been a smooth road?
I think the biggest challenge of Los Angeles is staying on your path. You know it’s a big city so you get tempted to follow others peoples formulas to success. But the only problem is when you do that you always lose. Apply pressure in your own way. When you deliver at your own pace you always win big.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a DJ that is known for my superb mixing and blending skills. I always say “I can blend tracks with the best of them” which I have proven to be true. My sound is very elegant which in today’s DJ culture is rare. Seldom do new DJ’s take the time to learn everything that is needed to be a good DJ skills-wise. “My djing is like fine wine, I’ve gotten so much better over time. And the crazy thing is I’m still getting better”.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I think LA is the real deal, everything that need/want is out here but be ready to fight with the best of them. But hell yeah move to LA if you can keep up.
