Hi Mary, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My event planning journey began while volunteering with different non-profit organizations planning annual galas and fundraisers. I developed a deep passion for planning events while giving back to the community. My passion grew into hosting countless parties of my own and inevitably PLANNING bridal showers, bachelorette parties and weddings. Blossom Events was established in 2011 out of my love for events so that I can help people create their perfect day with the best service.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not, shortly after I started my company in Toronto, Canada in 2011, I decided to move to Los Angeles, California in 2013 due to personal changes. Moving to a brand new city meant starting everything all over, getting to know new venues and establishing new relationships with vendors. Moving to a bigger city also meant more competition and at times meeting people that didn’t have the right intentions. Being a small business owner also means staying on top of current trends, building a team and managing all the moving parts to be able to streamline and take care of all our clients.
We’ve been impressed with Blossom Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Blossom Events is a wedding event management company specializing in beautiful and unforgettable celebrations. Through creative ideas, we will transform your visions into memorable experiences. Our team of planners will work behind the scenes so you can relax and enjoy the day. Whether it is a casual backyard affair or a large luxurious soirée, you can count on us every step of the planning process to tackle all the little details and help you stay organized.
We currently offer Months of Coordination, Partial Planning, Full Planning and Destination Planning packages. Blossom Events plans weddings in Toronto, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and the surrounding regions. The company is also a certified Love Mexico specialist and is available for destination weddings in the Mexico area.
