Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Leste and Shelley Chilton.

Mary and Shelley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My business partner Shelley and I worked together in Granada Hills Hospital 1993 before the big Northridge earthquake. After that we became close and started our business together. We do Home care and Hospice care.

We are a one stop shop for the needs of people in a crisis. We love to help people and want them to make decisions for their care and plan for end of life even if the end is not near. It is much easier to talk about before than later, we know it is a difficult subject for many people.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has always been difficult not just because it is health care 24/7- 365 days a year, but also, we compete with big businesses and corporate businesses that have way more money than us to spend on marketing etc.

Please tell us about Access TLC Health Care.
We specialize in helping Seniors at Home and caring for them all the way to the end and educating the families and getting the families involved and reconciled when needed. It is beautiful to give and help people who really need your help. We have several resources to work with people according to the need and affordability.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
We have grown and continue to grow. We are known for our great service. I don’t think I would change anything.

I just didn’t know we would always be on call 24/7 but we all take turns and it works:)
