Meet Mariela I’V

Mariela, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started being born in Rexburg, Idaho 🙂 but literally just born there.  I then lived in many different parts such as Bolivia, Houston Texas and then Denver, CO. I grew up mainly in Denver, CO and completed my studies from elementary to university in Colorado. Colorado has been my main home to me. I came to Los Angeles, CA the first time to visit when I was 13 years old with my mother, older sister and older brother for a top international hairstylist runway show I modeled in. My mother put me into modeling since I was child. I knew since I was a child, I wanted to be an actress and was in love with Hollywood, creativity and production. My mother preferred modeling for me. As I got older, I was back in forth with New York and Denver, New York being my enjoyable home. I met my Lebanese ex-husband in New York 2007 and he lived in Los Angeles, CA which then made my move to Los Angeles, CA. I have now lived in LA, 12 years and a half. Pursuing my career as an Actress and Model.

I am also known as a DJ I’V LOVE, my style of music is electronic and dub-step that includes a unique mix of alternative, hip hop and pop. Dj’ing mainly for private events, special events, radio shows and festivals. Accomplishing many great projects. I also have my own production Vanity M.I.V Productions where I have produced tours, I have worked with talent such as designer artist Adam Saaks. Also produced many events, photoshoots and films that I have included myself in as well. This today has made me also into a Producer, Director and Writer. I have produced two of my short films “Tea Time” a British dark comedy and “Dolce Disposizione” an Italian romantic film. In my free time, I have also been an artist of painting, working on a series currently which has been published in magazines and will be showcased in galleries.

My Modelling career is my main field that has launched my career in every aspect. I model in everything from runway, print, commercial and artist creations. I have walked the runway for many fashion and beauty shows such as LA Style Fashion week, Las Vegas Swim Week, Denver fashion shows, Comic Con, kika paprika, citron, Imats show for Mehron Cosmetics, Top Bridal Shows, Schwarzkopf, RedKen, Aveda, Alfaparf and Sebastian hair to name a few.

I have worked with many celebrities through other productions and through my own production.

I am planning to launch a fashion product but I will be a silent owner. This is where I am at today. Busy and restless even with the lockdown lol. An entrepreneur. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
At times it has been smooth being at the right place at the right time. I have always been a proactive, positive type of personality. Of course, in life there is obstacles. The snakes or the bullies that come along the way. But we learn from this and as the saying it makes you stronger.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am known as being an Actress and Model primarily specialize in this. A Producer as well. In post production editing stage with my next italian  short film “Dolce Disposizione” . Thankfully everything I have worked in the creative world I have been well accomplished in such as DJ’ing, being an Artist and a Writer.
