Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorraine Getz.

Hi Lorraine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Real estate has always been part of my DNA. My grandfather was an entrepreneur in Los Angeles who not only ran his automotive shops but also owned the land they sat on. My father followed a similar path, purchasing the properties where he built his businesses. I also come from a family of top-producing real estate agents, so the industry has always been part of my world.

Before real estate, I built a career in fashion, but I was drawn to the idea of creating something lasting and guiding people through one of the most significant decisions of their lives. Transitioning into real estate felt natural—and it quickly became my passion. I love exploring homes, from their architecture to the individuality of their design. But beyond the homes themselves, what inspires me most is helping people find security, build wealth, and achieve their dreams through real estate.

Today, I am honored not only to be a top-ranked agent in Los Angeles but also among the top 1.5% of realtors in the United States—an accomplishment I am very proud of. My career is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors—starting with my father, whose entrepreneurial spirit shaped how I approach business, and later seasoned real estate agents who took me under their wing early in my career. Their guidance gave me the foundation to succeed in a field where, at the end of the day, I’m running my own business as an independent entrepreneur.

Of course, the road hasn’t always been smooth. Real estate can be unpredictable, and every escrow brings its own set of twists and turns. Balancing the emotions, expectations, and needs of everyone involved hasn’t always been easy, but those moments taught me resilience and patience. Over time, I’ve learned how to navigate challenges with confidence, deliver clear and honest guidance, and keep my clients supported every step of the way.

My work schedule is entirely built around my clients’ availability, which means I often work seven days a week and stay accessible at all hours—even while on vacation. Luckily, I truly love what I do, and that passion makes my dedication rewarding.

As you know, we’re big fans of Lorraine Getz, Realtor. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a real estate agent with Compass, specializing in representing both buyers and sellers—from first-time homebuyers to high-end luxury properties. I’m known for combining deep market knowledge with a personalized, concierge-level approach. My clients often tell me they feel fully supported, whether it’s navigating a competitive bidding situation, preparing a home for sale, or managing all the moving parts of a complex escrow.

What sets me apart is the level of detail and care I bring to every transaction. I don’t just open doors—I advise on strategy, connect clients with trusted vendors, and provide experienced guidance so my clients can make confident decisions. I also draw on my background in fashion and design, which gives me a unique perspective when it comes to presenting homes and understanding what resonates with buyers.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that my clients describe me as not only knowledgeable and professional, but also approachable and fun to work with. My goal is always to make the process less stressful and more rewarding. At the heart of my business is a simple philosophy: real estate isn’t just about houses, it’s about helping people build security, wealth, and a place to call home.

People can work with me by reaching out directly if they’re looking to buy or sell a home in Los Angeles. I love guiding clients through every step of the process, whether it’s preparing a property for market, finding the right neighborhood fit, or navigating a competitive offer.

Collaboration is also a big part of my business—I regularly partner with other agents on referrals both in Los Angeles and across the country. If someone has a client moving to LA, I’m always happy to provide them with the same level of care and expertise I give my own clients.
