Today we’d like to introduce you to Khloe Hudson.
Hi Khloe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Paris and grew up in Marseille, South of France. I’ve always loved acting since I was a little girl but only three years ago I made the jump, and it changed my entire life. I was working as a flight attendant for one of the top airline companies in the world, and I decided to move to LA to pursue my acting career.
I started to study acting at the Acting Corps studio in North Hollywood. I went through the entire program up to the Advanced Program. Studying Chekhov and Meisner really helped me take my craft to the next level. Then, I started performing on stage in a couple of plays throughout Noho and Pasadena, and I really enjoyed it, but acting on TV and Film is what I’m really passionate about.
Few months later, I created my own Production company “Ash Entertainment”, with my husband who is also one of my mentors, Andres Saenz Hudson. We produced our first short film, “Stalkers Part I,” where I play the lead role, Brooke. The film was a finalist at the “Lift Off First Time Filmmakers Sessions 2020”. Soon after that, I was able to join SAG-AFTRA and signed with Sovereign Talent Group and ESI Network.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a foreigner, it was not an easy path. I had to train harder than anybody else because on top of all the hours of acting training, I had to work on accent reduction, as well. But having an accent, I’ve found, can also be a strength as an actor since it makes you more unique and it opens you up to more diverse casting opportunities.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m currently auditioning for TV and films and I’m also still producing and creating my own content. Inspired by my own experience as a French native moving to the US, I decided to create my own comedy series, “Laure in America”. I play the lead role, Laure, a struggling French model trying to survive in LA. I’ve been working on this project for a while and now we are finally filming the proof of concept for it! I must say, I am absolutely thrilled about it!
What matters most to you?
I think now more than ever it is so important to create your own content as an actor. It gives you the opportunity to be behind the camera and see all the work involved in creating a film. You learn so much about all the other aspects of the industry. It also puts you in the driver’s seat of your career, which I find to be very empowering as an artist. Plus, as an added bonus, it’s just so much fun!
