Today we’d like to introduce you to Keeahna Caceres Cervantes

Hi Keeahna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and I am a ten year veteran in the fashion industry.

I had a blast studying at The Art Institute of North Hollywood, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing and Management.

I began my career working with American Apparel and I have continued to work with global brands such as Birdiebee and ELLE Magazine.

Throughout my career I always carried the goal to create my own lifestyle brand, and a special space to have fun and call my own.

Self expression is always at the forefront for everything I do, whether it’s rocking a super oversized tee or gettin’ down on the dance floor with my girlfriends in my favorite mini skirt.

So… I created Magik! I created Magik to remind others to love themselves and find their Magik. It’s more than a brand, it’s a lifestyle. I encourage others to express themselves and create their own paths. Lead with love. Be fearless. Be Unstoppable. Be Magik!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been an incredible journey so far; my family, friends and peers are absolutely incredible! There have been a couple hic-ups along the way, but there is always a solution.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I began my career working with Private Label brands at American Apparel and I was exposed to a whole new sector in the fashion industry. This role allowed me to dive deeper into Branding and Merchandising, which is now my specialty.

I am most proud of establishing a way to balance my career, with my brand MAGIK LA and also my personal life. Time management and balance is everything!

What sets me apart from others is my attitude. One of my favorite dance coaches taught me, “Attitude is everything” and I live by this in everything I do. My perspective and energy brings light and positivity to others and any team I work with. I am not afraid to wear my heart on my sleeve and lead with love.

What makes you happy?
There are lots of things in life that make me happy. Live music, sunsets, art galleries, kisses from dog; the list can go on and on. However, what brings me the most joy are my family and my husband.

I won the lottery with my parents and they blessed me with two sisters and two brothers; together we are unstoppable! Our times together are priceless; full of love, laughter and lots of singing and dancing. Food for my soul.

My husband is my bestie and inspires me everyday to work hard, have fun, and be a better version of myself. We love hanging out and being silly together. I get to be my inner child with him.

Without them in my life, I would not be Magik.
