Meet Kat Marenzi of theSpace.love

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kat Marenzi.

Hi Kat, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in Indiana, the daughter of Greek immigrants, dreaming of becoming a doctor. From an early age, I felt a deep calling to serve and heal ~ first as a 5-year-old Candy Striper, later studying engineering, and eventually rising as an executive in the male-dominated automotive world. At 18, I moved to Maui with my family ~ a move that quietly planted the seeds of my connection to nature, energy, and soul.

That unraveling became my awakening.

I left everything behind and stepped into the unknown ~ immersing myself in energy healing, quantum studies, and spiritual initiations around the world. I trained in Bio-Energy Healing, Spiritual Life Coaching, and sacred plant medicine facilitation. What began as survival became sacred service.

Today, I guide others through their own breakthroughs as the founder of theSpace.love ~ a sanctuary for healing, alignment, and soul remembrance. From TEDx stages to intimate retreats in Milos & Maui, I offer experiences that awaken clarity, courage & divine connection. Whether through one-on-one sessions, energy work, or plant journeys, my mission is simple:
To help you remember who you really are ~ before the world told you to forget.

Because when we stop performing and start aligning, life doesn’t just shift.
It becomes a mirror for who we truly are.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth ~ and I wouldn’t change a step of it.

Raised in a traditional Greek household, I was taught to work hard, keep my head down, and push through. And I did. I worked three jobs while attending Purdue, paying for 8 out of 9 semesters myself. I taught two welding labs, tutored business writing, and served as a resident hall counselor. At one point, I even sat out of school for a year to save money ~ working breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts at hotels on Ka’anapali Beach in Maui.

Between semesters, I became a first-line supervisor at General Motors, managing a team of 29 men as a young woman barely in her twenties. That experience shaped me ~ fast. Later, I spent two decades in the high-pressure world of automotive dealerships, leading as a Finance Director. It was fast-paced, demanding, and relentless ~ especially as a woman navigating a male-dominated industry.

But my biggest challenges came off the resume: a difficult divorce, a traumatic accident, and a chronic illness that resulted in total hair loss. It was humbling, unraveling ~ and holy.

Each struggle forced me to meet myself at a deeper level. And every challenge refined me for what I do now: holding space for others in their own fires of transformation.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
theSpace.love is a sanctuary for spiritual growth, energetic alignment & personal breakthroughs. I created it as both a physical and energetic space ~ rooted in love, science, and sacred service ~ where people can remember who they really are.

I specialize in guiding transformative journeys through Bio-Energy Healing, Spiritual Life Coaching, Plant Medicine Integration, and immersive group experiences. My work blends ancient wisdom with modern modalities, inviting clients to unmask, realign, and experience deep clarity, healing & joy.

What sets theSpace.love apart is the frequency ~ people feel it. It’s not just what I offer, it’s how I hold space: without judgment, with unwavering presence, and through a lens of divine synchronicity.

I’m proud of the courageous humans I’ve supported ~ from private sessions to live talks like TEDx. With retreats envisioned in places close to my heart like Milos and Maui, theSpace.love is more than a brand ~ it’s a movement. A reminder that healing doesn’t have to be heavy, and that presence is the miracle.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love about L.A. ~ the fusion of cultures, the access to nature, and the creative, soul-driven communities doing real work in the world. I can guide breathwork at the beach, hike through sacred canyons, and hold space with visionaries ~ all in one day. It’s a city of reinvention and resonance.

What I struggle with: the heartbreaking homelessness crisis that reminds me daily how much collective healing we still need. And after 15 years of commuting from L.A. to the O.C., I can confirm ~ traffic is no joke. I used to spend hours in gridlock… now I turn those moments into presence practice (but I still wouldn’t mind if the 405 found its flow).
