Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Yang.

Joseph, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After my Ph.D. program, I came USA and started my acupuncture career and help my clients to deal with their variety of medical conditions. Surprisingly with the traditional acupuncture, herbs, lifestyle changes and even psycho support, my clients are improved dramatically and overall very satisfied with my treatment, I am very happy with my business and hope to help more people in the local area.

In the beginning of my business, I have had many house calls and shared the office space with other healthcare professionals, meanwhile I have had worked in several Oriental medicine schools as faculty member and clinic supervisors, now I have my own office and enjoy my daily life and work hard to provide the best service as much as I can, so with many lovely costumers support and trust, I very much feel my meaningful life as a real person to live in the world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Understand patients more than yourself, this is my feeling, since I have worked in this traditional field over 3 decades, I believe that as a professional healthcare giver and a healer, the most important thing to understand is the understanding of your patients, from the physical to the psychological aspect.

In earlier practice, I have struggled with my clients for the understanding, actually even didn’t pay enough attention on their emotions and psycho issues, possibly just like a regular, a new medical practitioner, more focusing on the disease or disorder, in my mind, all the textbook, there was no patients psychos as all, so that’s wrong, especially, I am working as a mental healer as well, to understand the patients sufferings psychologically.

Please tell us about AcuFather Acupuncture and Herbs Clinic.
My clinic is a busy running fashion style one, but with a very efficient time management, we really have the time conflicting problem. I am treating the many internal medical conditions like pain management, weight control, facial, skin rejuvenation, and energy support, also the stress reduction, depression, anxiety and other mental issues. I feel strong with my neuropsychiatry Ph.D. background and combined with the traditional wisdom and healing art, patients really feel the difference when they come to visit my office for the health help. And by the way, I keep studying during my break. time, and eager to learn more and more to keep my knowledge and techniques are improved day after day.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I world to meditate and to make the internal heart quieter, so the mind is more clearer and the emotion more eased, so as a professional healthcare giver, not urgent to start the business, it’s better to know others, the world and to maintain the peaceful inter welling.
