Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Luis Becerra.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jose Luis. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since I was a little kid, I was fascinated with animals. I grew up in the countryside. I did not have ordinary pets, I will go to a pond, gather tadpoles and raise them until they become frogs, or toads!! Or I went to the nearest creek and get seven to ten turtles, keep them for a while and then put them back where I found them.
In my early years, I had several kinds pets, some wild and some domestic: birds, amphibians, mammals etc.
This interaction with animals made it easy to help my friends and neighbors with animal issues that they would not be able to take care of.
I was working part-time for a high-profile studio executive that had several kinds of birds and rabbits and I was told If I was able to look after them. He was very pleased with my job.
When I was working full time for a famous Hollywood actor, this previous experience with pets made it easy to take care of several kinds of animals: reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish. Some of them escaped in a regular basis and I had to track them down, catch or trap them.
After several years of service, we had to part ways because he no longer had these pets and I was without a job but I noticed that I had a natural talent to deal with different kinds of critters and the need for my services in the community was real.
That is when I decided to start The Critter Trapper!
I started offering my services to the public to solve their problems with nuisance wildlife.
This was May 1st 2008.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This is been a very interesting and unique road.
I have the pleasure to meet great people! Actors, writers, producers, bankers, real estate agents, lawyers and great ordinary people with great stories to tell!
I keep private the identity of my clients. I do not use their names to my advantage.
I try as hard as possible to maintain a balance in my job by informing my clients of the different methods available to deal with wildlife even if I do not make money by telling them. I have to have my morals and ethics pointing in the right direction at all times.
These methods work most of the time but sometimes you have to trap rogue animals that cannot be stopped.
The Critter Trapper – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Critter Trapper specializes in evicting wildlife from human dwellings.
We are known for been a company with high ethics and integrity.
It is very easy to set a trap to get an animal. To evict humanely a complete family of raccoons, opossums or skunks successfully is a different story. Evicting animals require a lot more work, knowledge and patience. But the results are very satisfactory.
The reason of our high success rate evicting the animal families from homes is because our vast experience and the latest technology combined give excellent results! We use Thermographic Imagery to locate the animals behind walls, above ceilings and inside bathtub cavities, without resorting to damaging the client’s home.
The investment in the company is high and it benefits the client and wildlife.
We are the first trapping company certified as a “GREEN”. We do not use any chemicals.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
If I consider The Critter Trapper as successful company the answer is, “YES”!!
And the reason is that when your foundation is solid and integral, success is just a matter of time.
Maintaining a reputation as one of the best companies is Los Angeles is no easy task.
But when the City of Glendale, City of Anaheim, City of Beverly Hills, Southern California Edison, Fed-Ex, Uhaul, The State of California, UCLA, Occidental College, Ventura County Unified District, Shell Oil and Pomona Fairplex to name a few put their trust on my services, that is success!!!
But success was good yesterday, today is when we have to prove ourselves again!!!! We cannot live by yesterday’s reputation!!!
Success is to deliver what you promise, and we only promise what we can deliver.
