Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonny Lurie.
Jonny, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I always loved music and I started playing violin when I was in 6th grade and then switched to guitar a year later. After many years of performing and making music in Texas, I decided to move to LA in 2018.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a really great experience, although there have definitely been some struggles. Starting over in a new city is rewarding and exciting, but also difficult on a personal and professional level. It can take time to make things happen.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I’m a solo artist as well as a collaborator with different artists. I’m a guitarist, songwriter and producer. I have released music under Jonny Lurie, Afro Deezy Axe, and Jonny Arlikatti.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think we all would if we had that opportunity, but overall I’m just grateful.
