Meet Jenn Alonzo (Prakash Nam Kaur) of Healing With Jenn and Cosmic Shanti in Los Feliz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenn Alonzo (Prakash Nam Kaur).

Jenn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a native Californian and lifelong natural born intuitive that has a passion and love of healing others! Throughout my life, I have studied and explored various methods of healing myself and expanding my intuitive gifts. By the age of 14, I was giving tarot readings and started my personal healing journey with yoga and meditation. My lifelong quest of healing myself eventually led me to share and heal with others.

In December of 2011, I was introduced to the beautiful powers of Reiki while attending a healing circle and celebration. I was immediately attracted to this loving energetic healing modality and decided to acquire my Mastery in Reiki. In February 2012, I completed my first Reiki mastery program and established my business, Healing With Jenn. I immediately started teacher assisting and officially started teaching Reiki in the Fall of 2015. In 2016, I decided to deepen my understanding of Reiki and acquired mastery in the Usui Reiki Ryoho, Usui Tibetan, and the Karuna® Reiki systems in Los Angeles, California.

I teach Reiki because I am passionate about transforming the world and empowering my students in a karmic and compassionate way. I strive to help my students gain confidence while maintaining a sense of peace and tranquility throughout the healing and learning process. I share my experience and knowledge and teach them how they can improve their own lives and those of others by empowering them with becoming a Reiki practitioner and healer. I teach all levels of Reiki through my private program, Cosmic Shanti, in Los Feliz, California.

I also offer private healing appointments in my practice, Healing With Jenn. Sessions are customized depending on each person’s needs. I heal with my clients through various modalities such as Reiki, yoga, meditation, crystals, aromatherapy, gong immersions, Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, tarot readings, spirit animal readings, angel readings, and other methods.

I am also a 200-hour registered Kundalini and Hatha yoga teacher (RYT-200) with the Yoga Alliance as well as an avid marathon runner. In my spare time, I provide service work in the Los Angeles area and throughout the world.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My personal healing journey has unfolded and expanded beyond what I thought was possible. When I started my business, Healing With Jenn, I worked full time in a corporate job. At the time, I never thought it was possible for me to sustain myself through Reiki, yoga, crystals, and sound healing. I worked full time and took private clients in evenings and throughout the weekend. Last year I finally had the courage to leave my corporate job to teach Reiki, yoga, and expand my healing practice. I’m so grateful that I had the confidence in myself to leave the security of my corporate job and pursue my dream of being an entrepreneur in the healing arts. I am now busier with teaching Reiki, yoga, and providing private healing sessions. I am much happier and able to sustain my living needs.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Healing With Jenn/Cosmic Shanti – what should we know?
Healing With Jenn is my personal healing business. I offer customized healing sessions with Hatha yoga, Kundalini yoga, meditation, Reiki, crystal healing, aromatherapy, gong immersions, sound healing with Tibetan sound bowls and tuning forks, Tarot readings, spirit animal readings, angel readings, and other healing modalities. I also perform space clearing and blessings in my clients’ homes, places of business, and other locations.

Cosmic Shanti is my school where I teach all levels of Reiki, teach how to read the Tarot, and provide educational workshops on various healing modalities.

I am known for my Reiki healing practice and Reiki Instruction. I am also known for my extensive knowledge of healing with crystals and providing intuitive readings with Tarot, spirit animals, angel cards, and other modalities.

I also teach Kundalini yoga and Kids’ Yoga in a studio located in Hollywood, California.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I am excited to share my knowledge, education, and experience with my clients and students. All of the healing modalities that I perform and teach have tremendously impacted my personal healing journey. I love giving back to my clients and students and sharing what has empowered me and contributed to my personal transformation. This is a blessing that I’m truly grateful for.

Pricing:

Intuitive Reiki Healing Session 2 Hours, $250 We will meet briefly to discuss how you are feeling in your body and get a sense of which chakras need to be aligned. Next, we will heal together with Reiki, crystals, aromatherapy, and sound healing. Gong therapy is optional. We conclude the session with a mini tarot card reading.
Reiki Healing Session 1 Hour, $150 We will meet briefly to discuss how you are feeling in your body and get a sense of which chakras need to be aligned. We will then heal together with Reiki, crystals, aromatherapy, and sound healing. Gong therapy is optional.
Kundalini Yoga Session 1 Hour, $150 We will do a Kundalini Yoga session based on which chakras need aligned. Kundalini is an ancient yoga art that focuses on movement with breath, mindfulness, and mantra.
Space Clearing & Blessing (Price varies)
Reiki Level 1, Shoden (The Beginner’s Teachings) – $250
Reiki Level 2, Okuden (The Inner/Hidden Teachings) – $300.
