Meet Jen Clark of Jen Clark Notary LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Clark.

Hi Jen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born and raised near Seattle, I’ve been a proud Angeleno since 1998. With a professional journey spanning 25 years in consulting and digital marketing agencies, I have honed my business acumen through dedicated management of client accounts. Using this experience, I ventured into establishing my own business as a Mobile Notary in 2024. Recognizing the importance of timeliness and precision, I am committed to delivering outstanding service to each of my clients. Whether it’s the notarization of a signature on a single document or the meticulous completion of an entire loan package or estate plan, I am dedicated to simplifying the process. My ultimate goal is to help clients feel at ease throughout the experience.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I was laid off from my job at a digital marketing agency in 2016 after 16 years. Even though I wasn’t particularly happy in the job, it was a tough blow and came as a surprise. I enjoyed some time off and then got another digital marketing job, which I was then laid off from in 2022. At that time my dad was having major health problems and I was on the verge of taking time off anyway, so even though it was another blow, it came as a blessing. My dad passed in 2023, then my mom had some health problems, but came through and is doing well today. I came out of the experience wanting something different than a corporate job where my time was owned by someone else. Through lots of YouTube videos about running my own business and a lot of soul searching on hiking trails, I decided to become a solo-preneur and start my mobile notary business. Working for myself has been a challenge because it’s just me – I am marketing, IT, operations, all of it – but I have found different communities where I can reach out for support. And, finding solutions on my own is very rewarding!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Jen Clark Notary LLC?
I provide a full range of mobile notary services, including single documents, loan packages and other real estate transations, estate planning, any documents that require notarization – I am ready to help. I will meet my clients at a location that works best for them, including homes, offices, cafes, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, or curbside! I can provide document printing, scanning and delivery to another party or UPS/FedEx. I can also support clients with Apostille facilitiation, at the CA Secretary of State office in downtown Los Angeles, and with other States and Federal documents through my network. I am proud to offer my services discreetly and with compassion. Many times people are signing documents under stressful circumstances, and I am ready to help get it done as efficiently as possible while maintaining quality and integrity.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Helping people truly makes me happy. When I see the relief on someone’s face when we’ve finished a signing appointment it brings me joy. I have been in hard circumstances – stress at work, with family, just being too busy – and the fact that my job enables me to help others check something off their to-do list reinforces my decision to go into business for myself.
In life, the thing that brings me the most joy is spending time with loved ones.
