Meet Huntington Beach Sports Photographer: Blanca Marisa Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to the super cool Blanca Marisa Garcia.

Blanca Marisa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been into photography. I have a Master Degree in Photography, I came into Jiu Jitsu Photography through The Gracies, which is the family known to have put Jiu Jitsu on the map with UFC1. I was their official photography as well as their family photographer. I then started photographing tournaments, UFC, Bellator and WSOF and started working for Eddie Bravo for his event of EBI Invitational. I then started photographing for Jiu Jitsu Style Magazine that is based in England.

Has it been a smooth road?
The struggles of getting into Sports photography is always getting your name out to the public.

What is the most difficult part of what you do?
The hardest part is making sure your photos are not stolen on the internet.

How do you define success?
Success to me is to be called back because of your quality, turnaround time and your professional relationship with your clients.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would love to photograph internationally. Hopefully, to photograph the Olympics in Japan.
