Meet Gohar Abrahamyan of Go Flawless Now in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gohar Abrahamyan.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a board-certified Physician Assistant practicing medicine since 2004. I am also the director of clinical services with Dr. Gabriel Hunt at the Spine Center at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in the Department of Neurosurgery. I have always had an eye for aesthetics and adding medical aesthetics to my world of neurosurgery gives me a great balance between the trauma/adrenaline world and the glam world.

Initially, I started out as a microbiologist with a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from CSUN but I realized soon after one year that I liked dealing with people rather than their specimens. I wanted to treat them, heal them, save their lives if I could. I went back to school and became a PA-C which has been one if the most rewarding choices I made in life.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth road? Nothing worth having ever comes easy. It has been anything but a smooth road for me.

The competition to get into a PA school was intense. The didactic phase of my education was grueling and brutal. Pulling all nighters and taking caffeine pills to stay awake became a huge part of my life. It was also difficult because I was still working in the Microbiology Department while attending PA school. There were 98 students in our class and only 4 of us worked. So it was a difficult role. The rotation were difficult in their own way. I lost count of the 24 hour day cycles. It was also difficult because I was a newlywed during my rotations and I rarely got to see my husband. I was thrown out of 3 rotations for silly reasons, reasons such as “you didn’t wear your white coat” or ” you’re late” or you’re not cut out for this profession” But I rose above it all and today I am where I am because of all those obstacles.

Go Flawless Now – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Go Flawless started as a mobile beauty, where I would travel to celebrities homes for their botox and fillers. Soon after that, the word began to spread among TV personalities and I was receiving calls from people I watched on TV. I was featured in Angeleno magazine, several other publications and one of my botox parties was filmed Live on Fox 11 Good Day LA.

Today my practice is in Beverly Hills, CA and I also work out of a satellite office from Glendale, CA. I started incorporating aesthetics into my Neurosurgical life in 2007- well before I started my Instagram page where one can pay their way to fame.

I have never paid for any celebrities to come to my office for PR work. Most of my clients come in as families and friends through word of mouth. I am known for my blunt honesty, I will quickly turn away a client if what they’re looking does not coincide with ethical level of aesthetics. I have never upscaled a product or a service to anyone. I think in today’s society, the reason why we have a lot of young people walking around with disfigured faces are not because of them but because of their providers who 1) can’t say NO to them and 2) which is the worse thing-are not certified or qualified to inject. I think the above mentioned is what sets me apart from the rest of aesthetic practices around me but most importantly, my driving force has never been money. I do this as a hobby and it happens to work well for me and for my clients. I am proud of the work and ethics that I practice and because of my honesty and because of rejecting so many requests, I have lost many clients but gained some as well. I love that I can be true to myself and to the oath I took as a PA to always do what’s in the patient’s best interest and not mine. I have never once violated that oath, and believe me, in BH or in aesthetics in general, it is very easy to violate that oath. I am also very excited to be launching a special type of skincare line coming in 2021.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me success is doing what you love. Period. When you go to work without counting your money, that’s success.
