Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Trejo
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up i was surrounded by poverty i just wanted to make it out the hood like everyone else, I was the kid in school always all decked out but none of what i had on was really me. I wanted to make clothes for me that id like to wear and got good feed back on it now were trapping t shirts. My brand isnt for everyone and if someone i make offends anyone then im doing my job. My work is about representing our culture and upbringing. I got tired of waiting for dreams and chose to act on them, about 2 years ago i was just making graphics in my room and just took the chance on branding my self. Today we have connected with people all over the us and have been in touch with artist from gothmoney and have been noticed by brands such as “lxrdknxws” so i can say things have jumped to a good start
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Family time is something to be balanced in this line of work and thats due to the fact that I sacrificed so much time from my kids just to make the progress i have. Also another factor in this all was getting people to see my vision, the younger crowd gets it the older crowd thinks im promoting all acts of negativity. Thats not what i do what i do is cause awareness to the true gutter of my city im just giving the kids something they can relate to and drip in at the same time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We currently just finished our trench baby collection and our (essential pack) EP1 and our now focusing on a new essential drop that features all of our bogo tee’s/shorts/pants/slippers and etc with new fabric and printing material. Its a family business so all art work or pictures etc is original .
