Meet Maguis Sosa of Five 2 Media & Entertainment in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maguis Sosa.

Maguis, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Mexico City. I moved to LA to study Interior Design at the age of 21. I always had an interest in the entertainment industry because I grew up in that environment. I have always loved photography and creating content, that’s when I decided to create a blog called Melrose Place Diaries, which gave my opportunities to collaborate with local brands and create content for other brands. After working in music management, I got a job opportunity representing Digital talent with Studio 71, opening the Latin Division and had a job as a tour manager in Tomorrowland. Two years ago, I decided to do my Masters in Business Administration and graduated this May. I did a lot of network in my previous jobs and always had the idea of representing Latin American talent, weather its digital talent, photographers, designers, brands bringing the best into the U.S since there is so much opportunity to grow.

 We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been as smooth as an immigrant. You have many doubts along the way, especially being away from your family and friends. You may feel lost, with self-doubt, you ask yourself why are you in this country, what are you sacrificing but then you start to build your own life, friends, family and get to know people living the same situation and pursuing their dreams. As long as you are strong emotionally and focused, you can overcome those obstacles and keep working towards your dreams.

As a creative entrepreneur, we represent creators, entrepreneurs and digital influencers, through their the business and creative development , PR consulting & marketing strategies as well as brand partnerships . We help them envision their business in the long run. We also do content creation and direction for emerging brands.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
On a personal level, I want to create a company focused on wellness, health and sustainability, all coming from the inspiration of Melrose Place Diaries. I always have the goals to create something with a social impact. We are also developing a new merch line, which will be huge in Mexico. I continuously look forward to meeting and connecting with people whom I can have synergy and similar ideas to help our planet—looking out for the best in all cultures and.
