Today we’d like to introduce you to Ewa Bielska.
Ewa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I had always been a passionate filmmaker. I loved telling stories and capturing the beauty of the world on film. Growing up in Poland, I spent most of the childhood absorbed in movies. It was hard to break through overall approach of woman in film back then. My love for filmmaking led me to pursue a career in the industry but I must admit that there was many challenges. I walked away from the film industry for ten years. My heart was calling so I got back and I worked tirelessly to perfect my craft. I spend long hours on set and honing my skills as a director, writer, and actress. In the meantime, I raised my children and run other businesses to support them and my passion.
Despite the challenges as a woman in a male-dominated field, I persisted and eventually found success. My films were critically acclaimed for their unique and daring perspectives, and I became known as a groundbreaking filmmaker who was unafraid to push the boundaries of storytelling. International wins and recognition kept me going. Hopefully soon, we will lock the partners for my TVSeries Her Call and Future Film Breaking Iron
Through film, I love to touch the hearts of people all over the world and hopefully cemented my legacy as one of the greatest filmmakers of my generation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an independent filmmaker certainly has its challenges. Often, it’s not a smooth road as you have to navigate various hurdles along the way. Working in fast pace environment, budget challenges, securing funding to casting the right actors and finding the perfect location, there are several obstacles that filmmakers have to overcome.
Additionally, post-production can also be a struggle. It’s a time-consuming process where the director and editor have to work closely to ensure that the final product meets the vision of the filmmaker. But despite the challenges, the satisfaction of seeing your project come to life is truly unparalleled.
Please know to be prepared for a few bumps in the road. But keep your eyes on the prize, and don’t let the struggles deter you from achieving your dream. Good luck!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Advices
Start small – don’t bite off more than you can chew. Focus on short films, music videos, or simple scenes.
Best thing to become a master.
Very important is to learn the basics of storytelling, composition, lighting, and sound. This decade about your success!! And these are the building blocks of any film.
Practice, practice, practice – the more you shoot, the better you’ll get. Don’t be afraid to experiment and make mistakes.
Collaborate with others. Film is a team, and working with others will help you learn and make better films.
Edit your work carefully. A good edit can make a huge difference in the final product.
Have fun! Filmmaking can be stressful but don’t forget to enjoy the process.
As for something I wish I knew when I was starting out, it would be to not be too hard on myself. Making films is a journey, and every film is an opportunity to learn and improve. Don’t let perfectionism hold you back from creating and sharing your work with the world. Do not give up but keep going.
