Today we’d like to introduce you to Dang Tran.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dang. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Hey, my name is Dang Tran. I was born and raised in Germany by a tremendously ambitious, risk-taking and loving woman, my hero and the person I look up to – my mother. I stepped into her footsteps of making bold choices and decided to jump and take, despite all odds, a leap of faith in pursuing the arts. Now I go wherever life takes me and experience its many facets with an open, evergrowing mind and one goal to chase – to grow into a better artist and more importantly a better human being each and every day.
Has it been a smooth road?
Fortunately, it has been and still is somewhat a bumpy road. A road one wishes to run smoother, but deep down we know the bumps here and there will make us stronger and turn us into the person we need to become. I believe the biggest struggle or “mission”, not only in the arts but in life in general, is to find yourself and your voice to be unapologetically you, which can be hard with the constant pressure of social media. A “mission” in which I’ve proudly made lots of progress in, this past year.
Tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am an actor and a part-time lifestyle model. When I was 16, I booked my first feature film back in Germany as a supporting role in a family dramedy named “Nachbarn Süss Sauer”. I came to the US, studied acting, booked a short appearance in ABC’s “The Rookie” and just wrapped an indie feature in Mexico named “Clarity”. Every now and then I appear in Commercials like Canada Bell or Smartwater, or Print gigs like Adidas. However, I will soon start my youtube channel, a huge step for me, to share my experiences of moving to a different country and finding my own path. I believe everyone is different and we each obviously have our own story, so to answer the question, my whole story of who I am and who I dream to become sets me apart from everyone else.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like best about Los Angeles the opportunities it gives to everyone. Everyone who comes here to find his/her door in the entertainment industry gets their chance, some sooner some later. What I like least about LA is obviously the traffic, I feel like I spent half my time living here in traffic.
