Meet Crystall Boatwright of CrysE B. Lifestyle & Creative Concierge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystall Boatwright.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up in LA as an only child, I definitely was always a visionary with a big imagination and colorful personality. I was the silly yet, introverted kid who was always playing dress up in my mom’s clothes and experimenting in my grandma’s makeup. To channel all of that energy, my mom kept me busy with everything acting classes, dance classes, gymnastics, and even beauty pageants. When I wasn’t busy with all my extracurricular activities, I would be somewhere reading. As I grew older, I started to love reading magazines and became an avid magazine collector. Which I still collect to this day. My love for what I saw in print stimulated my love for makeup, fashion, and photography.

One year, when I was 18, I tore my knee at a dance rehearsal right before a big show. I had to sit on the sidelines. But I got my opportunity to do makeup touch-ups and I loved it! I began going to college for fashion merchandising and ended up taking a “break”. I had never had a formal job besides teaching dance. I was now ready to get a real job in the real world. So, with no formal training, I went towards a career in makeup. I applied to a big retailer for a popular makeup counter. However, I was offered a role in women’s apparel. I was hungry and eager at the time so I took the position because ultimately it was a way to still cultivate my love for fashion. As time went on I ended up doing various roles from management, visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, and even personal styling for a few years. While I was personal styling I would infuse my love for beauty into each client’s experience. After ten years, I was no longer challenged in that environment so I finally decided to push myself to put my creativity to use and move forward with my own vision to create a platform where I can share that people are my purpose and creativity is my passion.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Most challenges I faced were the typical setbacks that we all tend to experience along our journeys. Such as disappointments or doubt. Beyond any challenges that arose, I can honestly say that I overcame them. I learned early in life that you will stand on a mountain of no’s to get to one yes. Life will always throw you a curveball. So, in the midst of that, I simply keep going, growing, and learning along the way.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with CrysE B. Lifestyle & Creative Concierge – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Cryse B. (pronounced Crissy-Bee) Lifestyle & Creative Concierge is a one-stop destination for bosses with vision! Cryse B. Lifestyle & Creative Concierge offers a collection of services from makeup, image consulting, photography, branding/rebranding, graphic design, and creative direction.

I’m most proud of the brand that I have built thus far! As well as, my ability to turn my hobbies into my hustle in order to create more opportunities to fuel the things that I am passionate about. I’m one woman on a quest to bring my dreams along with collaborating to also bring the dreams of others to fruition. I absolutely enjoy sharing and teaching about the things I love. What sets me apart is my upbeat spirit, creative mindset, and diligence to deliver!

No matter what, I am extremely professional and strive to always deliver a luxury-level experience with everyone I work with. I will always find the brighter side of most circumstances by always focusing on the solution, not the problem.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future that I am looking forward to are to eventually open a full operating creative space to host all of my services and different divisions I offer.
