Meet Cristina O’Connell of On Pointe Dance Studio in Inland Empire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina O’Connell.

Cristina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have danced since I was a little girl and it was always my goal to own a dance studio. I danced at my local studio growing up, on high school and college dance teams in addition to some professional performances. I own two dance studios and a children’s party entertainment company. I’m so thankful I get to live my dream!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have always been a hard worker as my parents and grandparents were so I was ready for any challenges that have come up. I think the benefits outweigh the challenges that come with owning a business.

Please tell us about On Pointe Dance Studio.
My dance studio goal is to provide dance lessons for children and adults of all ages and levels in a positive and healthy environment. I think what sets my studio apart from others is the level of quality in everything we do. I’m most proud of my integrity and level of quality my staff and I provide. We treat everyone that comes through On Pointe with respect and kindness. I love the family environment we have created. We truly have the kindest families and I think it starts from within the culture of the company.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My whole childhood was amazing. I had the most loving, encouraging parents. Some of my favorite memories are competing and dancing at senior centers and in parades with my sister, who also danced. I also spent a lot of time with my grandparents and the older I get, the more thankful I am for those times.
