Cinthia, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
My name is Cinthia Centeno I was born in Honduras and migrated to the United States when i was 12 years old. My mother as a business owner taught me very young to always find what I love and make a living for myself out of that, I found love in fashion, beauty, insurance and real estate. Sounds a little weird to be able to combine all those worlds but I have and it’s made waking up in the morning exciting and different every day. I started my journey in the fashion industry alongside my mother. She owns Bessy’s Boutique in Pasadena, CA we have been in business since 2001 and from the moment she opened I have been working within her company with my other siblings. There I am in charge of finances and making sure we move forward smoothly. I quickly became interested in insurance work which led me to home investments and real estate. I’ve enjoyed building my catalog and learning from this very competitive world. Being in this male dominated industry is difficult but I show up with my pink suit ready to take anything head on. Recently my sister and I have created this amazing new company called CC Skin Jewelry, an adhesive eyeliner sticker company where we focus on creating solution-based beauty products to break molds and change how traditional ways are done in the industry. Roberto Mejia Jr and MealPreps by Rob have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Roberto Mejia Jr and MealPreps by Rob and your experience with them.
I met Rob from Meal Preps by Rob this year. He asked to bring sample food to our boutique to try and we loved his energy. We both shared similar commonalities like being from Honduras and growing up not really making meal planning a part of our lives. I believe Rob’s meal prep company is breaking those barriers through his healthy choices. It’s introducing our community to a better way to eat, all while not sacrificing flavor. What I like to call “healthy con sazón” In our Hispanic culture it’s important to have food around. It’s our love language and how we like to spend time with loved ones. Rob’s meal preps service brings a little of that to us all while doing something good for our bodies on the go and trying to reach our health goals.
