Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Cox Lucca.
Christina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
How I got started was with my children. I loved to create for their birthdays… whether it was a themed birthday or a soccer party I was creating decorations and bringing their party to life… I truly loved every minute of it. I had co-workers that asked me to create birthdays for their children as well as I was asked to help a friend with her wedding decor and organizing/coordinating to allow them to enjoy their day… That was the year 2000. This is where it took off from there…. it was slow going at first because I was still working full time with teenagers at home who took priority.. Then in 2009 I decided it was time to go full time in the wedding and event planning industry.
I decided to become internationally certified in the industry as a wedding and event planner as well as destination weddings… I built relationships with vendors, venues and my clients/couples. It is about relationships in this industry… for me it’s about staying truly connected to current trends, continuing to educate myself… wanting to grow and evolve… staying connected to what the client or couple wants, their dreams, vision, listening and enjoying the process.. I have the passion I started with, that passion is the fire that keeps me moving today.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing in life is smooth sailing and anything worth having is worth working for and fighting for. I have had bumps in the road to get to where I am today but those bumps have brought me out wiser and I am so grateful. I have learned, grown and moved forward. I have had the honor of having industry professionals guide me along the way, educate and cheer me on…
I have learned it’s not about how people feel about you, but how you make them feel.

CC’s Celebrations & More offers Complete Wedding and Event planning for the bride or host who would like a planner to take care of all wedding day details; from venue selection, to hiring and negotiating deals with quality vendors, to contracting the hotel room blocks. This client would prefer to leave most responsibilities in the coordinator’s hands, but can be as involved as they like. CC’s Celebrations will arrange multiple site visits and help you choose the perfect venue that fits your budget, dreams, vision and ideas.
Partial planning is for the bride/host who has already selected their venue and hired their caterer and would like assistance choosing the rest of the vendors (photographer, florist, music, transportation, rentals, photo booth, etc). A suite of tools, unlimited contact with us, pre-determined visits with us… and so much more.
Month of coordination is for the bride/host that only wants help with the final details. He/she has selected their venue, hired all of their vendors, but wants help executing their vision & tying up those final details on their wedding or special day. What is fabulous about month of is no matter when you hire us we are there working with you to ensure a beautiful outcome.
We also offer design and decor. I love to create from nothing, give me your colors, your Pinterest/design board and we are off to find what makes you smile – I can go into a shell of a building and give it a heartbeat and bring it to life
What sets me apart from the rest is my compassion, kindness, caring and how it touches my soul to be able to give our clients/couples the day of their dreams or celebration of lifetime.
