Meet Casey TeVault of Casey Buys Houses CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey TeVault.

Hi Casey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I first got into real estate, I started out the traditional way—working with buyers and sellers, doing open houses, listings, and everything in between. But early on, I kept running into homeowners who didn’t fit into that traditional process. Some were facing foreclosure, some inherited homes they didn’t want, and others couldn’t afford the repairs needed to sell on the open market. I realized those folks needed a different kind of solution.

That’s what led me to start Casey Buys Houses. My goal was simple: to create an option where people could sell quickly, fairly, and without all the stress.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been earning people’s trust. A lot of homeowners are skeptical when they hear “cash buyer,” and rightfully so—there are some companies out there that don’t put people first. I had to build credibility one conversation at a time by being transparent, walking sellers through the process, and delivering on my word. Market changes have also been challenging—whether it’s rising interest rates or competing with bigger investors—but I’ve learned to adapt and refine my systems along the way.

What I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built. We’re known for being fair, compassionate, and reliable. Many of our deals now come from referrals, which to me is the highest compliment—it means we did right by someone, and they trusted us enough to recommend us to a friend or family member.

At the end of the day, success for me isn’t just about the number of homes I buy—it’s about the lives I impact. When a family gets to walk away from a stressful situation with peace of mind, that’s when I know I’ve done my job. That’s why I do what I do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Casey Buys Houses, we specialize in buying homes directly from homeowners in California—fast, fair, and in cash. We’re known for making the process simple and stress-free, no matter the situation. Whether someone is behind on payments, dealing with probate, going through divorce, or simply wants to sell without the hassle of agents and repairs, we’re here to provide a solution.

What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We’re not a big, faceless company; we take time to listen, understand the seller’s situation, and come up with a plan that works best for them. We’re proud that many of our clients come to us through referrals because someone else had a positive, smooth experience with our team.

Brand-wise, I’m proud that Casey Buys Houses stands for honesty, speed, and compassion. We’re not just about transactions—we’re about helping people move forward. That’s the message I want readers to know: if you’re looking for a cash buyer who cares about your situation, that’s us.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just about the number of homes we buy—it’s about the lives we impact. Success means a family who’s able to move on from a tough situation with peace of mind. It means someone inheriting a home they don’t want, and instead of feeling stuck, they walk away relieved and financially secure.

On a personal level, success is also about building a business that gives me the freedom to spend more time with my family while helping other families. If I can look back and know I’ve built trust in the community, created win-win solutions, and left people better off than when they met me—that’s true success.
