Meet Burbank Photographer: Florian Moret

Today we’d like to introduce you to Florian Moret.

Florian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started photography when I was 16. I always loved to travel and I started with landscape photography. After I graduate from college in business administration in Switzerland, I decided to move to Los Angeles to follow my passion and become a professional photographer.

Has it been a smooth road?
I always go with the wind. Whenever I have some obstacles in front of me, I always find a way to go through it. I believe that life has a plan for each and everyone of us, and that you just have to find and follow the path.

What are some of the influences that have played the biggest role in your journey so far?
In the past 26 years, my parents always gave me all their support in everything I was doing and I’ve always been completely free to do whatever makes me happy, with absolutely no restriction and thanks to them. I’m the first in my family who pursue an artistic career, and the first who left Switzerland for that. They both follow my work very closely and I hope they like what I do.

What type of clients or projects do you look forward to most?
As I originally started photography by traveling, and as I’m always attract to discover new places, cultures and way of lives, I think the dream would be to work for National Geographic and doing photo documentaries for them. But outside of that, I don’t think there is a particular type of project that I wouldn’t like to work on, as long as I’m behind a camera, outside or in a studio, shooting portraits or landscapes, lifestyle or editorial, I am, and always be the happiest man on earth.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think I would have started photography, with the idea of becoming a professional photographer earlier. But life is life and I’m happy to be here at this exact moment. I have absolutely no regret about anything I did or haven’t done.
