Meet Bethany Myers of Content Social Media Queen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Myers.

Bethany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always loved writing. When I was younger, I would sit on a sun-warmed boulder outside my home with my journal, surveying the Sierra Nevada mountains and write whatever came into my mind. Pen and paper were my confidante throughout many seasons of life, with no exception during my college years. I majored in “Writing” at the University of Nevada Reno and received my Bachelor’s Degree within 4 years. After throwing my hat high in the air with other fellow grads, it was time to buckle down and start my career. I started as a Marketing Coordinator at Prudential Real Estate, then later grew into my role as a Content Manager for a home remodeling company. Over the years, I switched jobs, moved up in companies but never found a sense of purpose that writing once gave me. I needed flexibility, to have more freedom over my atmosphere, and to break free from the chains of the typical work environment. In 2015, after a devastating loss of a loved one, I quit my job as the Social Media Manager for a magazine company, Stampington & Co. In those quiet months to follow of solitude and stillness, I had little direction, which was oddly comforting. With minimal effort, I found myself writing and finding peace with every word that poured out of me. It was during this time that my business Content Social Media Queen emerged. From the ashes of grief came a new beginning.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think one of the biggest hits I’ve ever received was when my friend and first-ever client tried to sue me. It felt like one of those corny Hallmark movies when the leading role wakes up to find that she’s in some alternate universe, but that girl was me – and unfortunately, it was my reality. I still remember when I received a Demand Letter from her Attorney. It was then that I realized I’m not just a chill, fun and carefree freelancer anymore. I’m a woman, who owns a business, and my business is important and impactful. Thankfully, the case was dropped as it was completely bogus, and in turn, I refined my contract to include extensive details to ensure no one could ever try to take advantage of my kindness again.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Content Social Media Queen Inc.?
I think what many of my clients will tell you is that we provide consistent, excellent service. Our values are: integrity, honesty, and hard work – all which sadly seem to be fading from today’s society. Most business models tend to take the easy way out. The quality of service is diluted, and you can find the owner sitting pretty in a pool with a martini in hand while his workers are taking on the biggest burdens with minimal compensation. At Content Social Media Queen, all our staff members share the same level of expertise and values. For example, our Newsletter Manager Jackie Latragna, has received her MBA, boasts over 11 years of experience in management, an innate ability to fortify strong B2B and B2C relationships, and is a wizard in graphic design. This level of skill and passion can be seen and felt in every service we provide at Content Social Media Queen.

Our top services include:
Blogging and Writing
Email Marketing
Social Media Management

Website Creation and Content Writing

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
It’s so simple: Don’t Quit. There will be days you don’t feel like getting out of bed. Months that seem to drag on forever, and then lightbulb moments that you wish would last forever. All of it is important, special and beautiful. Cherish the high mountains and scary valleys in business. And just keep going.
