Meet Avith Miracle of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avith Miracle

Hi Avith, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Avith Miracle, I am a Composer and a Multi-Instrumentalist, pursuing a career in Film and Video Game Music. I was born into a family of musicians and avid music lovers, who encouraged my interest in music and fueled my passion to learn and improve my skillset. Growing up in Qatar, a Middle Eastern country, I was exposed to various musical genres and styles through people from all over the world. This garnered a sense of appreciation and respect for various cultures and their unique musical expression. Music played a major role in my life growing up and my love for music led me to choose it as my career path. I chose to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Majoring in Film Scoring and Composition at The Musicians Institute, in Los Angeles, California.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It most definitely was not a smooth road getting here, I’ve had my fair share of struggles and roadblocks. Two of the biggest issues I’ve had to face are the lack of self-confidence and discontent with my progress and work. Both these issues are interconnected and made it hard to work through them. The lack of self-confidence was deeply rooted in the weight of the comparisons in my mind. Growing up, I would always compare my skills, progress, and work with professional musicians, which helped me push my limits but at the same time demotivated me and took its toll on my self-confidence. The feeling of discontent is a product of my lack of self-confidence but separate at the same time. I still can’t say that I’ve completely overcome these issues but it’s something that I would have to work on for the rest of my life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional musician, mainly a Music Composer, Orchestrator, Multi-Instrumentalist and Worship Leader. I have written and produced a handful of original music and worked with a few other artists on their original works. I also played shows and concerts as a hired instrumentalist. Being a multi-instrumentalist has played a major role in the way I approach writing music and I believe that it sets me apart as a Composer. My appreciation for various musical genres and styles influences my music which I believe, adds a unique character. I am currently working on releasing a few of my original compositions over the next year or two. So keep a lookout for them.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
For any musician who are just starting out, my advice would be to focus on improving the quality of skills rather than the quantity. It’s very easy to get lost in the various techniques and approaches, but it won’t amount to much if you don’t master them. Aim to be the best and work towards that. Another advice would be to plan out your future. Of course, things don’t always go as planned, but it is better to set goals and work towards the future you wish to have, which will help you keep track of your progress and stay on the path of your choice.
