Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Vidales
Hi Ashley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always enjoyed sharing my journey in order to help others, whether it was through quotes, tips and tricks, recipes, places to visit, advice, etc. It didn’t come to me to post frequently, until I became a mom. I knew my life was going to change, but I didn’t know how drastic. Early postpartum was an intense time in my life and the more I shared about my experiences, the more engagement I received. Posting consistently was a way to help me with postpartum and all of its struggles. I looked forward to it every night because it allowed me to get creative again. There were many moms I connected with. That was the drive and motive I needed to post more often and frequently. Content creation has allowed me to flourish in motherhood, friendships, community events, and partnerships.
It was a way to reconnect with myself and others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road at all. As a stay at home mom, my hands are always full. Content creating means you have to keep up with trends, post very consistently, edit and film all while keeping up with myself, my family, house, cleaning, cooking, entertaining, self care and the list goes on. Sometimes, videos you put the most effort into don’t get as much interaction as you thought so it can get discouraging to keep posting. I constantly remind myself that consistency is key. The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently I am a stay at home mom that loves content creating. I love posting lifestyle content. Everything from motherhood, recipes, tips, tricks, coffee shops, family outings and everything in between! It has allowed me to be part of different communities. I am most proud of the outcomes and interactions that come with posting my experiences. I’ve had companies thank me for posting their establishment because it brought them more business.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
The apps that have helped me are TikTok and Instagram. I absolutely love listening to podcast such as suelta la lengua con itati, la plática and Gary vee. Something that has helped me drastically do my best are my local mom groups! The mom community is amazing and luckily I am building long lasting relationships because of them.
