Meet Arin and Dion Dersarkissian of Pinky’s Iron Doors in Vernon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arin and Dion Dersarkissian.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My brother Dion and I started Pinky’s Iron Doors in 2009, but the real story begins in 1992 when our dad opened up his first welding shop in Glendale, California after immigrating to Los Angeles from Iran. We grew up watching our dad build his welding shop from the ground up, designing and hand forging custom iron gates, fences, doors, and railings. After he retired, my brother and I didn’t want to lose the skills we learned from our father throughout the years, so we decided to start Pinky’s Iron Doors. With a passion for designing and bringing to life the best iron doors possible, we wanted to create an accessible and affordable path to getting these luxury iron doors without the complexities, and Pinky’s was the answer.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our company is family-owned and operated, so we make it a point to get to know our customers on a level that helps us better understand their needs, which really resonates well and helps our customers feel more comfortable and welcome. We take pride in providing a vast array of quality wrought iron and steel doors that will not only enhance the beauty of a home but also provide unparalleled security at an affordable price. All of our doors are hand-made with heavy gauge materials and craftsmanship precision. Our designs are detailed and stylish to keep up with the current architectural fashion. Pinky’s Iron Doors has been nationally televised for its one of a kind designs on networks such as HGTV, TLC, BRAVO, and more. We believe our success for the past eleven years has been dependent on our attention to detail, customer service, and experience in the industry. Each and every product we produce is our own, designed and sketched by our dad who began this journey back in 1992.

What were you like growing up?
ARIN: I have always been naturally drawn to music, so I grew up playing the bass and guitar with my dad during my youth. My love for music definitely translated into a passion for the designs of our doors.

DION: I was extremely shy as a child, but as I started doing business, I was able to come out of my shell. For as long as I can remember, I loved being hands-on and building things, which explains why I have so much passion for iron door business.
