Her latest features include Vice, NBC Universal, Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, Elle France, Glamour Bulgaria and Comospolitan Bulgaria.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being a Fashion Journalist in Hollywood takes time, I do not think there are struggles but you just need to take your time to get to know people and make sure you have great interpersonal skills to interview the right crowd.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Press Correspondent and have been a journalist for more than 15 years. I have recently published for VICE, was featured on NBC Universal.
I am known for writing stories and directing videos about breaking news and bilingual stories, from artists to voxpops – been living abroad since 2011!
I am working for Bayard Presse for Los Angeles and super excited to start my own fashion video podcast series on May 1st. It is called “Tell Me Mode” in partnership with Bayard and will focus on epic Fashion Pieces that changed History.
Tell Me Mode will be available both in English and French on Instagram @tellme_mode.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have lived in Asia, the Middle East, several countries in Europe and several cities in the United States. I would say the first months are always challenging because you need to build yourself a solid base of people. Never be afraid of asking for help and being pro-active with people you would like to have as friends and/or mentors! Set your intentions straight and go for it! You only have one life and you cannot afford having regrets.
Finding a mentor is hard and you will be ignored and rejected, but you can only try until you find someone who will be generous and trusting enough to share their knowledge with you. And who knows, they might learn a thing or two from you!
