Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Cortez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Angel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started with me thinking of ideas on how I could produce extra income for my family. I started seeing a lot of. DIYs and ask my husband to purchase me a cricut. I started buying a little bit of supplies of all the arts and crafts that I can make started making vinyl stickers for friends and family and then started making small baby clothes with heat transfer paper. Little by little family started saying I should do a business out of this and that’s exactly what I wanted to I just wanted to get a feeling for what I’m able to do in accomplish with a little that I have. At first, we started doing items in our garage but that space was extremely hot. I had my husband build me a table which we located inside our living room and it’s where I have set up my little workshop. When I’m not working on my business, I’m taking care of my little girl Aeva she’s my inspiration as she was a miracle child that she came in early before her due date. Because of her, I’m a stay-at-home mom to give her all the necessary attention that she will need she recently started walking so that has slowed down my business a little bit as I have to pay extra attention to her.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been smooth as I have struggled to come up with ideas that I’m able to sell and grab people’s attention. I have had to learn how to work the machine by myself as I didn’t have anybody to teach me besides doing trial and error with my husband.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
