Meet Amanda Grothe of Amanda Rachelle Photography in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Grothe.

Amanda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a young kid, I always enjoyed taking pictures. My mom would take us on vacations every year and I remember always loving to take pictures. In 2010, I got married and that was my first time we ever had to hire a photographer. It fascinated me so much the way our photographers worked and how creative they could be. It sparked a passion I had that I forgot I had. I remember before our wedding, I bought my first Canon camera and brought it with us to our honeymoon. Let’s just say our honeymoon on a few occasions turned into location scouting for some creative and unique pictures. Once we returned home, I started taking pictures of friends as a hobby. It surprisingly started to become a weekly thing of taking pictures. After just a few short months, I knew this was what I was meant to do. I have always been more of the artist/creative side and photography allows me to get creative with each session and feel an artistic side. I absolutely love what I do. it also has given me the extra privilege to stay at home with my children all while still able to maintain a career that I love. It’s the best of both worlds!

Has it been a smooth road?
I would say the obstacles I faced were finding out which area of photography I enjoyed the best. There was a time I would take photos of any opportunity that arose. It then became more “work” rather than a career that I love.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Amanda Rachelle Photography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a freelance photographer specializing in family, maternity, children and newborn photography. All of these things are what I am all about. I am very family orientated and have two children of my own. If you asked how many photographs my children have it would be an outrageous amount.

I would say what sets my photos apart from others is the genuine joy throughout each session I capture.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that I live in a city where everything is available to you from the beaches to city! As much as I love the city and the beach a big part of me wants to own a farm and live on a big open space where my children can be kids and roam outside playing in the flower fields.
