Meet Alyssa Giordano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Giordano.

Alyssa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in upstate NY. My journey started about five years ago when I took a very random day after New Year’s trip to Los Angeles with no rhyme or reason.

I spent about a week out in LA and just had a gut feeling this was where I needed to be to start my career. I moved cross country about a month and a half later and have just been grinding away ever since. I was fortunate enough early in my move to meet amazing people that lead me to some small work with a company formally called Rabbit Bandini ran by Actor/Director James Franco…

That started me off in the path of Production and really helped me focus in on loving work behind the camera and making ideas and dreams become a reality for those visionaries. I then refocused my skills away from feature films and shorts to still photography.

Focusing on photography, I was lucky enough to land a steady freelance job producing still shoots for one of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting American commercial photographer, fine-art photographer, music video director, and film director David LaChapelle. It opened my mind up to seeing a world outside of the box and creatively.

Learning how to create beautiful | elaborate content for David and seeing that you can achieve anything you set your mind to is something I will forever carry on with me in my work. After that, I again refocused on what else in my career I’d like to produce. Being from upstate NY I’ve always had a love for sports and the outdoors, but also being close enough to NYC I had a love for fashion… I soon changed gear over to producing and creating content for fashion and outdoor brands such as Penguin Clothing, Oakley, and Columbia Sports.

Freelancing for a company by the name of Stept Studios they’ve been a true inspiration and pleasure in helping me narrow in and focusing on the things I enjoy creating content for and working on in life. Branded Content is where I find my passion now and focusing on being a Creative Producer, I am excited to see what 2020 will have waiting for me.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t believe achieving your goals and dreams is ever going to be a smooth road. With many victories, there are hundreds of failures to get there. You meet a lot of people who will try to use you when you succeed, but you also meet plenty that will do anything in their power to help you rise and be the best version of yourself. I feel no matter at what success there are always going to be struggles and those are what make you proud of not only your career but who you become on the other side of it as a person.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I’m a freelance Producer In Los Angeles & New York.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to just keep creating amazing content that the world will enjoy and that I can be proud of. I am going to take each day in strides and attempt to become the best version of myself along the way.
