Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Bloom.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Alex. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a 26-year-old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. I’ve been playing shows for ten years, and writing songs for even longer. Since then, I’ve written hundreds of songs, and I’ve recorded 3 EP’s and two albums, as well as many other demos that probably won’t see the light of day. I don’t really know where I am in terms of success, and I don’t know exactly where I’d like to go, but I love making music and writing songs. That’s my main focus every day.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been ups and downs yes, things that seemed like big opportunities that fell through or fizzled out. Things that have been disheartening. With every experience, I learn more about myself and about the “music business”.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m most proud of my music and very grateful for the friendships and partnerships I’ve made because of it. I think my songs are unique but I don’t know, you be the judge.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Waking up every day and looking forward to/being passionate about what you do.
