Meet Ahjahni Moultry of Baby Love Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ahjahni Moultry.

Ahjahni, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I fell in love with photography in 2008 when I had my first born and started taking newborn photography of her. I considered myself a hobbyist, but as the years went on and the more photos I captured, I knew I had an eye for this field. My specialty is newborn photography, but I’ve proven to myself that I can capture it all when I put my heart into it. That’s where I am at today. Whole-heartedly in love photography in its entirety.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been a few bumps here and there. There were times where I didn’t photograph anything or anyone at all and spent my time getting educated on my craft. Learning new techniques and poses etc. I’m self-taught and have a natural eye for photography, but the best way to perfect your craft is to take courses and practice, practice, practice. You learn something new every day and I love it.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Baby Love Photography – what should we know?
I am the photographer behind Baby Love Photography and everything that comes with running a business. I specialize in newborns, babies and I’m known form my angles. What I’m most proud of as a company is my growth.

What sets me apart from others is that even though my specialty is newborns and babies, I’m not afraid to take on any type of photography.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Positivity, perseverance and efficiency. There are going to be days where you feel like a failure and you are going to have to stay positive, persevere and continue to deliver quality work that not only you can be proud of, but your clients as well.
