Meet Adoni Ison of Fourth Eye Tribe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adoni Ison.

Adoni, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m from New Orleans — music was everywhere, so I started writing early and the art of story telling became my thing. I moved to LA in 2018 and that pushed me to continue in the entertainment industry… recording, performing, and learning the production/AV side so I could actually build the shows I wanted to make. Since then I’ve creative produced music rollouts, events, built youth programs, and in 2024 became Recording Academy voting member — basically I’m both the artist and the person who makes the whole experience happen.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nah it hasn’t been crazy smooth tbh. We did really well this year, but lately a bunch of bar and venue closures plus the broader economic squeeze have made live shows way harder to pull off. When people tighten their belts, ticket sales and production budgets get hit first, so I’ve had to hustle — producing my own shows, negotiating tight budgets, and doing AV/lighting work myself so projects actually happen. I’ve also started playing abroad — I recently did shows in London and Japan — and that opened up new audiences and ways to make things work. Using what I’ve learned on the production side helps me put on better shows and gives me real empathy for both the artist and the exhaustive behind-the-scenes side of making a show happen. Bottom line: it’s been bumpy, but those challenges made me more resourceful and even more committed to delivering a quality experience every time.

We’ve been impressed with Fourth Eye Tribe, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fourth Eye Tribe is a creative production company I co-founded — we build full experiences from concept to load-out. Our AV and creative services have become a staple: I handle staging, lighting, sound, artist curation, and the creative direction that ties it all together. Our flagship series, White Linen Nights, reimagines a New Orleans tradition to highlight Afrocentric culture and under-celebrated artists — we don’t just book talent, we craft the whole environment. What sets us apart is that we understand both the artist’s needs and the grind behind the scenes, so the shows look great, sound great, and actually run smoothly. Bottom line: we care about quality and cultural impact, and we deliver on both.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
First, I want to thank my mom. She’s the one who taught me early on to think both like an artist and a businessperson. That mix of creativity and practicality honestly came straight from her, it’s shaped the way I moved in my life.

I want to thank my co-founder, Prolific (RJ). He really helped shape what this company is today. He’s been a huge leader in my life, both personally and in business. We’ve been creating together for almost 15 years, and it’s been an honor every step of the way. And honestly, I can say firsthand he’s one of the most amazing f*ing songwriters I know.

I want to thank Samwyse. He’s an incredible artist, and I’ve known him for a long time now. Watching how much he’s grown these last few years has been amazing. Together we started a really beautiful summer series (White Linen Nights), something that’s opened its arms to a safe, creative space with crazy talent. I’m proud of what we’ve created.

I want to thank K-Wiks (Kyle). He’s been a consistent motivator and a recording savant. I’ve never seen anybody do what he does, he’s always getting my ideas out, and I’ve never had an issue tracking with him. You really have to see him work to believe it.

Honestly, I could go on forever about my family and how incredible our whole production team is, but those three people have been at the center of so many creative ideas, builds, shows, albums, even movies! The network of talent and minds we’ve built over the years in LA has been mind-blowing. I still don’t fully understand how we’ve made it this far. I’m coming up on my eighth year out here, and I’ve never had a real reason to leave, because I’ve built a life around my friends, my art, and the work I love to do.
