Life & Work with Yvette Aispuro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yvette Aispuro.

Yvette Aispuro

Hi Yvette, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Back in 2015, I embarked on my journey as a photographer with just a Nikon D700 and a whole lot of passion. Armed with the fundamental elements of the craft, I started capturing still life and portraits of my friends. I remember getting so much joy from styling them with clothes and makeup, or creating a background that would provoke a story. Looking back on how far I’ve come, I can say it was quite an adventure but worth so it!! Grateful for the creative outlet that photography has given me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe that the path to one’s journey involves some struggle. Without hardships, one would lack wisdom. We all face challenges, but the greatest one is often within ourselves. I’ve struggled with self-destructive behavior that prevented me from reaching my full potential. But by recognizing and addressing these obstacles, I’ve been able to make positive changes and move forward. Remember that you have the power to overcome your own challenges and achieve your goals.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For many of my photography projects, I am both the producer and art director. Adobe Photoshop is my go-to tool for editing and it allows me to work magic and bring my ideas to life. It’s where I can be the most creative and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I owe a lot to my friends, who have supported me throughout my journey. I want to give a special shout-out to Jarea Holieway, who has been a mentor and best friend. She’s an amazing woman who has always believed in me and my talents. She has shown incredible patience and understanding during tough times and can brighten up a room with her smile while reminding you of your worth. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to my Instagram followers who have been my biggest supporters throughout my journey.
