Today we’d like to introduce you to Vic Diaz

Hi vic, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Was always fascinated with all things nerdy from videogames to boardgames and am a huge film nerd! So i always wanted to share my passion with others and discover as well new things within the boardgame community and videogame community as well. In general i just love talking with people and hearing their stories, to me its such an awesome experience just getting a chance to hear what others have overcome or hearing their passion it gives me joy! So i created my podcast in order to be able to share those experiences with others and also give a chance for others to share their story as well.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most beginnings it wasnt a smooth road, it still kind of isn’t. We are still relatively new within the social platforms and as well as marketing and getting out there. The biggest struggle would be just getting the listeners or interaction with people we would like to have. We are grateful for our friends and family that have supported us and helped us out, as well as the boardgame community that is so awesome and supportive as well.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full time employee working in the aerospace industry, but the thing i focus more is on my podcast. I created a podcast in order to share my passion about boardgames and videogames with a hint of pop culture with anyone willing to listen. I try to incorporate a Latin vibe to it as well since i am Hispanic (Mexican) and i am proud of my roots so i wanted to as well reach out to my Hispanic community that is into boardgames and videogames. I am very proud of the podcast and the amazing guest i have been able to have on there to talk with and just share stories with. Something i am trying to stand out with a bit is, cater to those who have never been into the boardgaming world, i try to help those listening that maybe see a boardgame they never heard of, and are maybe thinking of getting it or getting it as a gift, to let them know more about the boardgame and help them decide if its worth getting it or to save your money for something else; to avoid it either from collecting dust or just returning it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I am not much of a believer in luck i would say, i am a man of Faith and i believe that God has helped me out in this journey, by either opening or closing doors and helping me with decisions that need to be made. So all credit goes to Him fist and foremost.
